Learn about the largest & most charismatic of Illinois’ mammals – the bison! Learn about how bison play a role in Illinois’ original garden, the tallgrass prairie, some of their history and habits.

Discover how bison are portrayed in literature, music, art and popular culture. Then learn where you can see bison and prairie in “The Prairie State.”

Presented in partnership with Wild Ones Greater Kane County Illinois Chapter.
