We can still enjoy crisp, refreshing hikes during the winter months. Forest comber Corey Begalka of the Kane County Wild Ones will share his favorite hiking trails in Elgin and Kane County.

Stay healthy and fit while enjoying the beauty of winter found along hiking trails here in Elgin and throughout Kane County. Forest Comber Corey Begalka with Kane County Wild Ones will share his favorite hiking trails in our area. Feel free to bring along a sack lunch, or purchase lunch, snacks and warm beverages in our library cafe. Weather permitting, we'll enjoy a brisk hike around the library and Corey will point out native plant species.
