Exhibition of artwork by Elgin's own "Abuelita Moses," Trinidad Armenta. No registration necessary.
The Trinidad Aguirre-Armenta Foundation for the Arts presents an art exhibit of selected works of art by Trini Armenta on Sunday, August 11th from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Elgin Room of the Gail Borden Public Library, Elgin Illinois, 60120.
Several of Trini’s paintings will be on display from water colors on paper, acrylic on canvas and more. Art lovers of all kinds will enjoy Trini’s “primitive” art style and her mostly Latino-heritage-themed works. A huge mural is also on permanent display at the library that she donated to the library almost 30 years ago.
We will share the story of our very own “Abuelita Moses,” and how she began to paint late in life and how she delighted in sharing her art with others.
