Historians have called it a "perfect battle" for General Robert E. Lee. Outnumbered by more than 2 to 1, his Confederate Army defeated the Union Army at Chancellorsville, Virginia on May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of 1863, but the cost of the victory would be keenly felt just two months later at Gettysburg.
