Free tax preparation for individuals and families who qualify for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. This service is by appointment. Call 877-220-7627 to make an appointment.

In partnership with Livingston Taxes, Gail Borden's Main Library is a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) location. VITA provides free tax help to people who generally make $60,000 or less, persons with disabilities, limited English speaking taxpayers, and seniors who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. Visit Benefits.gov and GBPL's Tax Information webpage for more information.

 

Hours for this service will be:

  • Thursdays from 4 pm to 8 pm
  • Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm

Service will generally be available in both English and Spanish.
