We're having a book party & you're invited! We'll explore the series Wind Riders in which Max & Sofia travel to help animals in trouble. We'll also make a puffin craft. Registration required.
***NOTE: Please register separately for each child planning to attend this program.***
Max and Sofia both love animals. So when they discover an old sailboat that magically takes them to different parts of the world to help animals in trouble, they jump right aboard. We'll read and discuss a selection from Wind Riders: Whale Song of Puffin Cliff and make a puffin craft. Registration required.
This program has supplies to be picked up at the KidSpace Youth Reference Desk at the Main Library (270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin). Program supplies will be ready for pick-up between Monday, April 15th through Sunday, April 21st. PROGRAM MATERIALS ARE A PAPER PACKET!! All registered participants will receive an email with the zoom login prior to the program date.
If you would like to pick up the supplies at the Main Library Drive-up Window instead of inside the library at the youth desk, please call the youth desk at 847-429-4685 at least ONE HOUR before arriving at the library.
NOTE: Please color your puffin template (body, head and wings) prior to the program.
Program supplies in paper packet:
1 Puffin template sheet w/small popsicle stick taped to it
1 Puffin/Penguin paper slip with a large popsicle stick taped to it (on back)
1 mini "To the Rescue" postcard
Program supplies to gather at home:
Scissors
Glue Stick
Tape
Coloring materials (colored pencils, crayons, or markers- etc.)

If you are unable to attend the program, please cancel your registration so a student on the waitlist can join the event. We will be taking attendance at the programs and staff members reserve the right to move a registrant to the waitlist if they are found to be consistently absent from the Zoom event part of the program.
