Since 1900 The Salvation Army has provided essential humanitarian services following to emergencies.  Elgin is home to a regional Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Service unit (Canteen) which has provided relief to Elgin area residents. This is an opportunity to learn how the program has grown and evolved along with knowing how to benefit from it following an emergency.
