Join us, on zoom or live, to share a favorite memory as we compile a living history of the Village of South Elgin. Feel free to submit written stories or memories by email at seemail@gailborden.info

The Village of South Elgin is compiling a history of its recent past. Do you have a fun, interesting or touching anecdote about life in the Village – whether it’s from the 1950s, the 1990s or anytime in between? Share your tale live during South Elgin Stories, or submit a written version to the library at seemail@gailborden.info. The Village of South Elgin will compile these oral histories to give future generations a glimpse of the South Elgin we know or remember. And if you’re not ready to share a story, you are still welcome. We love listeners too!

May -We will be talking about when you came to live or work in South Elgin.

June- We will be discussing favorite summer memories.

July - We will be discussing Independence Day parades and traditions.

August - We will reminesce about Riverfests of the past.
