Join Elgin's Poet Laureate in a writing workshop modeled after June Jordan's Poetry to the People, a grassroots approach. Explore poetry writing even if you have never written poetry before.

In each session, participants will engage with a collection of poems around a particular theme, write poems and share, if they desire, those poems with the group.

Chasity Gunn, who is also an English professor at Elgin Community College, will facilitate the workshop.
