What kind of animals do you see in your neighborhood? Make and decorate a journal book to record your animal sightings.

Materials you might need:

Blank Notebook (or paper and staples or tape to make your own notebook)

Pen or pencil

Things to decorate your journal with: stickers, markers, colored pencils, pictures from magazines, watercolor paints. whatever you can think of!

What kind of animals do you see in your neighborhood? Make a journal book out of paper with a section for each kind of animal you expect to see and blank pages for unexpected sightings. Decorate your book with your own drawings or cut out pictures from magazines. Make a tally mark for each sighting or write a sentence about each. See a type of bird you don't recognize? Try to research it online to identify it.

To share the fun with your librarians, post your finished creation on social media and tag the library. #GailBorden
