Many of us only can enjoy our garden spaces in the evening after a busy day. Why not create a special garden to enjoy when the sun goes down and the moon rises? We’ll discuss garden design and delve into the many types of plants that add color and texture to dusk and beyond.

Presenter Heather Prince has been a part of the green industry for more than 25 years in numerous facets from public to private. She currently balances a busy freelance horticultural writing and teaching schedule with her role as email marketing manager for The Garden of Words. She is a trained horticulturist specializing in trees, shrubs, and natives with a passion for connecting people with plants. 

Her freelance writing has included The Landscape Contractor (now Landscape Illinois) magazine, American Gardener magazine, Chicagoland Gardening magazine, and numerous newspaper articles, blog posts, magazines, newsletters, and more. Heather also relishes sharing her knowledge and experience by teaching at The Morton Arboretum, Chicago Botanic Garden, Olbrich Botanical Gardens, and Edith Farnsworth House as well as garden clubs, groups, and industry gatherings.
