March is Women's History Month! To observe this special time, Author Kit Sergeant shares the extraordinary stories of two real-life heroines of World War II.
Faced with unimaginable odds, Nancy Wake, aka 'The White Mouse' and Marie-Madeleine Fourcade guided hundreds of French Resistance agents through the treacherous landscape of wartime France while managing to (mostly) avoid the Gestapo. Learn about the adventures of these incredibly brave real-life heroines in this multimedia presentation by Author Kit Sergeant. Sergeant is the author of eight meticulously researched historical novels, including Marie-Madeleine and Nancy Wake. Following the program, Kit will sign copies of her books and give away stickers and bookmarks. Co-sponsored by AAUW--Elgin Area.
