Author Gary Koca will discuss the Golden Age of Hollywood with a presentation on his book, 100 Favorite Classic Hollywood Films from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s tying into our Hollywood Costume exhibit.

Gary Koca, who has written 11 books about the Golden Age of Hollywood, will give a presentation on his book, 100 Favorite Classic Hollywood Films from the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. Note that Mr. Koca will focus on his 100 favorite films of that era, not necessarily the best 100 films, because that claim would be much too subjective. He will especially focus on his favorite 20 films but bring a handout that includes all 100 movies.

The presentation will cover movies in several genres, including

Ø  Film Noir

Ø  Horror films

Ø  Mysteries

Ø  Courtroom dramas

Ø  Comedies

Ø  Dramas

Ø  Musicals, and

Ø  Swashbucklers

There will be an audience participation at the beginning of the session and time for questions at the end.
