Join Ms. Carrie to explore unique art this summer. We'll learn about an artist or medium, but we'll spend most of our time MAKING ART! This session, let's go to the circus with Alexander Calder.
Best for Grades K-entering 6th in the fall.
Andrew Calder, or Sandy as he was called, was an artist who created fantastical art using wire and lots of other materials. In 1926, Calder created a miniature circus from wire, cork, and fabric and invited other artists to come and watch it. Let's make a trapeze artist for our own Cirque Calder in this Summer Art Explorer session.
If you register but later are unable to attend the event, please call 847-429-4685 to cancel as soon as possible. This allows a student on the waitlist to join the event. We will be taking attendance at the programs, and staff members reserve the right to move a registrant to the waitlist if they are found to be consistently absent from programs.
Is the program full? Be sure to register your child for the waiting list. We do our best to accomodate interested participants.
