Kidspace - Zoom

We're having a book party & you're invited! Let's explore the book in the Here's Hank series where he THINKS he meets a zombie. We'll make a zombie craft, too. Registration required.

**PLEASE NOTE:  Registration for this program does not start until September 15, 2024. Please register separately for each child planning to attend this program.**

NOTE: This is an age appropriate story for elementary schoolers, but Hank does think (throughout most of the story) that zombies are real.  He learns, at the end, that they are not. I will also be discussing that zombies are imaginary at the beginning of the ZOOM, but if you think your child will be afraid of this type of story, please consider registering them for a different program.

In the series, Here's Hank, a bully spooks Hank into thinking that zombies are real.  And when his best friend, Frankie, scares him in his zombie costume, he is really on the alert.  Let's read a bit of this book and do a zombie craft as we get ready for Halloween.

This program has supplies to be picked up at the KidSpace Youth Reference Desk at the Main Library (270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin). Program supplies will be ready for pick-up between Monday, October 7th through Thursday, October 24th.  All registered participants will receive an email with the zoom login prior to the program date.

If you would like to pick up the supplies at the Main Library Drive-up Window instead of inside the library at the youth desk, please call the youth desk at 847-429-4685 at least ONE HOUR before arriving at the library.

If you register but later are unable to attend the event, please call 847-429-4685 to cancel as soon as possible. This allows a student on the wait list to join the event. We will be taking attendance at the programs, and staff members reserve the right to move a registrant to the wait list if they are found to be consistently absent from programs.
