Ven y únete a una discusión de poemas seleccionados del libro Latino Poetry: The Library of America Anthology. Contaremos con comida para los participantes. Presentado en español.

Tendremos como invitada a Fermina Ponce, escritora colombiana, galardona con el premio Juan Felipe Herrera al mejor libro de poesía de un solo autor, de los premios ILBA (International Latino Book Awards ) y a Susana Plots–Pineda, becaria de poesía latina en Library of America, quienes dirigirán una discusión de poemas seleccionados del libro Latino Poetry: The Library of America Anthology, libro recién publicado, en el que se entrelazan la lengua, la cultura y la historia.  

Este programa se presenta como parte de Latino Poetry: Lugares que llamamos hogar, una importante iniciativa de humanidades públicas que tendrá lugar en todo el país en 2024 y 2025, dirigida por Library of America  y financiada con el generoso apoyo de National Endowment for the Humanities y Emerson Collective.

Poetry Discussion Circle- in Spanish- Latino Poetry: Places We Call Home

We will feature guest speaker Fermina Ponce, Colombian writer and recipient of the Juan Felipe Herrera Award for best single-author book of poetry from the ILBA (International Latino Book Awards), and Susana Plots-Pineda, Library of America Latino Poetry Fellow, who will lead a discussion of selected poems from the recently published Latino Poetry: The Library of America Anthology, a book that interweaves language, culture, and history.   

This program is presented as part of Latino Poetry: Places We Call Home, a major public humanities initiative taking place across the nation in 2024 and 2025, directed by Library of America and funded with generous support from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Emerson Collective.
