We're having a book party & you're invited! We'll go on a mission to the Jurassic period with the Secret Explorers and make a dinosaur craft. Registration required.

**PLEASE NOTE:       Registration for this program does not start until June 1, 2024. Please register separately for each child planning to attend this program.**

The Secret Explorers is a book series featuring a group of super smart kids from all over the world who solve mysteries and fix problems all over the globe- and throughout time and space. At this virtual book party, we'll read from book #4- The Secret Explorers and the Jurassic Rescue where Tamiko and Cheng travel back in time and work together to find an egg- a dinosaur egg! We'll also make a dinosaur craft.  Registration required. 

This program has supplies to be picked up at the KidSpace Youth Reference Desk at the Main Library (270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin). Program supplies will be ready for pick-up between Monday, June 30th through Thursday, July 11th.  All registered participants will receive an email with the zoom login prior to the program date.  

If you would like to pick up the supplies at the Main Library Drive-up Window instead of inside the library at the youth desk, please call the youth desk at 847-429-4685 at least ONE HOUR before arriving at the library.  

PLEASE CUT OUT THE TRACER SHAPES ON THE GRAY POSTERBOARD BEFORE THE PROGRAM. 

Program supplies in the bag:

Toilet paper tube

Stapled packet of green paper, different shades

2 google eyes

1 "-osaur" trading card

1 Extra Mad Lib

1 gray posterboard tracer sheet

Program supplies to gather at home: 

Glue stick

Green, black, brown markers

Scissors

If you register but later are unable to attend the event, please call 847-429-4685 to cancel as soon as possible. This allows a student on the wait list to join the event. We will be taking attendance at the programs, and staff members reserve the right to move a registrant to the wait list if they are found to be consistently absent from programs.
