¡No te pierdas el Festival del Día de los Muertos después de la carrera de 5km! Disfruta de la presentación de los elementos de la ofrenda, estaciones de tatuajes temporales, una manualidad y fotos con las catrinas de la biblioteca. Los vendedores tendrán elementos para la ofrenda disponibles para su compra. Habrá música en vivo con Yael Xolalpa acompañado de la Chaparrita de Oro-Xitlali, Mariachi de U-46, Joya Dorada, un concurso de disfraces para todas las edades, champurrado, pan de muerto, y mucho más. Además, ¡Conoce las cabezas Olmecas que se exhibirán antes que dé comienzó la exposición de Orígenes Olmecas!

Seguido del festival, la Orquestra Sinfónica de Elgin presentará un concierto especial el sábado a las 2:30pm en conjunto con nuestra celebración del Día de los Muertos. Entradas e información: www.elginsymphony.org.

Day of the Dead Festival 2024

Don't miss the Day of the Dead Festival following the 5K Race! Enjoy the presentation of ofrenda elements, temporary tattoo stations, a craft and a photo booth with our catrinas. Vendors will have ofrenda elements available for purchase. There will be live music by Yael Xolalpa accompanied by Chaparrita de Oro-Xitlali, U-46 Mariachi High School, Joya Dorada, costume contests for all ages, champurrado and sweet bread, and more. Plus, get a sneak peek at some of the cultural Olmec heads that will be on display before the Olmec Origins exhibit begins!

Following the festival, the Elgin Symphony Orchestra will present a special Saturday concert at 2:30 pm in conjunction with our Day of the Dead Celebrations. Tickets and info: www.elginsymphony.org.
