To celebrate Women's History Month and the Library's 150th anniversary, Linda Rock brings to life a variety of Elgin women, including Laura Raymond Gifford, Mary Carpenter Lord and Alice Byrd Potter.

We're celebrating the 150th anniversary of Gail Borden Public Library this month and throughout the year! Please join us as Elgin Historian Linda Rock portrays a variety of Elgin women from the past, including Laura Raymond Gifford, Mary Carpenter Lord, Alice Byrd Potter, and Anna Spani Schrader, in this 45-minute presentation. During the program, Ms. Rock makes costume changes as she changes characters. Q & A session follows.
