Elgin Heritage Commission offers annual grants to assist in historic renovation. Come learn how to apply for one at this informative lecture given by John Marston, Chair of the Commission.

May is Elgin's Historic Preservation Month! As part of Gail Borden Public Library's special series on the topic, join Elgin's Heritage Commission Chair John Marston, who will provide an overview of the Commission and the city's grant program. Mr. Marston will explain what's involved in the grant process and how to apply for one, in order to preserve your historic property in Elgin. To illustrate the lecture, John will use before and after photos of recent rehabilitations funded by the grant program.
