A fun and interesting evening awaits you! Join Christen Sundquist for an overview of historic architectural styles covering every era, using Elgin homes as examples.

Elgin is filled with examples of many historic architectural styles. Preservation Planner Christen Sundquist kicks off the first in a series of lectures to support the library's Historic Preservation Month in May. She will offer pointers on how to determine a particular architectural style and approximate age of a building, and will exhibit some helpful books on the subject. Gain some wonderful knowledge of what historical elements to look for as you take a leisurely stroll around Elgin's beautiful neighborhoods! Sundquist is the Preservation Planner for the City of Elgin and a certified City Planner.
