Ashwani Garg, MD and Stefanie Ignoffo , plant interventionist, explain science and lifestyle of plant-based nutrition. National Vegetarian Museum exhibit tour to follow.

Ashwani Garg, MD, a Family Physician and expert in Lifestyle medicine, will explain the science behind plant-based nutrition and how plant-based meals can be far superior in promoting good health as compared to the standard American diet.

Stefanie Ignoffo is a “plant interventionist." She will share the story of her entire family’s amazing weight loss transformation through her passion of plant-based cooking. She will also offer a quick and easy food prep demonstration.

Learn about the science of healthy eating and get lots of practical advice.  You may then then explore the history of the vegetarian way of life that includes good health as well as land and water conservation--all part of the interactive traveling exhibit from The National Vegetarian Museum, sponsored by the Community Harvest Educational Foundation and The Elgin Sustainability Commission.  Visit them at :  chefillinois.org/      vegmuse.org  and  cityofelgin.org/856/Sustainability-Action-Plan
